What Are the Ways To Renew NBI Clearance in the Philippines?
You can renew your NBI clearance in two ways i.e.
- Quick Renewal
- Standard Renewal
If you do not need to update your personal information and want to renew your NBI clearance without appearing in the NBI office, then you will apply by quick renewal way to renew your NBI clearance and you will receive your clearance in a few days.
On the other hand, if you want to update some of your personal information then you will apply through the standard way, in which you have to schedule an appointment in the NBI office, and you have to appear there for Biometric verification, picturing, etc.
How to Renew NBI Clearance
After Covid 19, the NBI made the process of clearance renewal online and therefore we can now renew our NBI clearance online. Here is step by step guide on how to renew the NBI Clearance:
Step 1. Access the NBI Clearance Online Services Website
Visit the official website to start your application process, the official website is https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/.
Step 2. Fill Out the Online Renewal Form
If your NBI clearance is issued after October 2016, then you can renew your NBI clearance online. You must have an old NBI ID number, input your old NBI number and click on verify.
Step 3. Verify Your Account By Choosing From the Three Available Verification Options
You can verify that you are the actual account holder by any of the three options available i.e.
- Mother Information
- Mobile number
- Email address
Enter all the information you used in the previous application at the time of registration. Choose any one option from the drop-down menu, enter your information, and click on verify.
Step 4. Select Your NBI Branch for NBI Clearance collection
Select any nearest NBI branch from the drop-down menu for NBI clearance collection and for appearing in that branch for Biometric verification, picturing, etc.

After the verification, now pay the fee of NBI clearance with any of the following methods i.e.
Step 6. Choose How You’d Like Your NBI Clearance To Be Delivered
There are two ways that you can receive your new NBI clearance i.e. Pick up delivery and door to door delivery. In Pick up delivery you have to visit your selected NBI branch for appointment and will receive your NBI clearance from the office.
In door to door delivery, you have to select a courier service and they will deliver your NBI Clearance to your doorstep, but you have to pay an extra fee for availing this service.
7. Receive Your New NBI Clearance
You can receive your NBI clearance from the NBI branch from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in door to door delivery you will receive your NBI clearance in 3 to 7 working days (Monday to Friday)
AUTHORIZATION AND CONSENT/WAIVER
If we are unable to receive our NBI clearance ourselves, we can authorize another person to receive our NBI clearance on our behalf, but we have to send an authorization letter to the NBI office at [email protected].
